Anteres is a Multi stage rocket developed by Northern Grumman to launch payloads into Low earth orbit (LEO). It was used for the NASA's commercial orbital transport services (COTS) and commercial resupply mission (CRS) programs to launch the Cygnus spacecraft to the international space station.

First stage

The first stage uses a combination of Kerosene and liquid oxygen as fuel and oxidizer .It has a diameter of 3.9m and designed to lift up to 8000kg payload to Low earth orbit

Anteres 100

This were powered by 2 Aerojet AJ26 engines. The produced 734,000 pounds of thrust at sea level and 816,100 pounds of thrust in a vacuum. This first stage was retired in October 2014 after several engine failures

Anteres 200 and 230+

These were powered by 2 RD-181 engines that produces 100,000 pounds of thrust. Its first flight in October 2017 on a resupply mission to the International Space Station

Second Stage

The second stage is a solid fuel rocket. It uses a combination of Hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene as fuel and can produce on average 65,960 pounds of thrust and a maximum thrust of 88,960 pounds of thrust.
